Cheeky Exercises!


Have you ever caught yourself clenching your jaw or squinting? Well, this maybe a sign of stress or tension.

We think about exercising our body to keep fit and relieve stress, but what about our facial muscles?


Can facial exercises help rid sagging jowls?

There is little clinical research that facial exercises actually work to reduce saggy jowls or uplift baggy eyes, but any exercising of a muscle will help to relieve some tension. Like yoga, the poses help to strengthen the muscles.

So, what have you got to loose? Maybe a few bags and a couple of chins!!


Here are few exercises that I have been doing as part of my morning routine for the last month, and I have to say, no less chins but my face feels more relaxed and when I'm driving and notice I'm clenching my jaw, I'm straight on to some facial exercises, be it with a few weird looks from fellow drivers!


Chin Up!

Close your mouth, slowly push your jaw forward, lifting your lower lip up. Stay in this position for 10 seconds and repeat 5 times.


Keep Smiling

Smiling not only makes you feel better and others, it also helps tone your facial muscles. Smile and hold for 5 seconds, relax, then repeat 5 times.


Sing O......E

Open your mouth wide and say the vowels O followed by E, slowly, O........E........O........E, making sure your mouth doesnt touch your teeth. Repeat 5 times.

Pose A Kiss

Pose a kiss and hold for 5 seconds and repeat 5 times.


Air Bubble

Fill your mouth up with air, just enough so you can slowly move from side to side, counting to five then release. Repeat 5 times.
